Balancee Privacy Policy

Effective date: February 25, 2026 · App: Balancee · Provider: Balancee Team

Thank you for using Balancee. We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles your information. Please read it before using the app.

1. How We Handle Your Data

Balancee does not collect, store, or upload any of your personal data or identity information. This app:

Data generated by your use of the app (e.g. interface preferences, breathing exercise progress) is stored only on your device. We cannot and do not attempt to access this data.

2. System Features and Permissions This App May Use

To provide full functionality, the app may use the following system capabilities. We do not collect or upload your personal information through these.

2.1 Photo Library (Add Only)

When used: When you choose to save a “Share Achievement” image to your photo library, we request “Add Photos Only” permission.

How it’s used: We only write the achievement image you generated to the photo library. We do not read, access, or upload any other content in your library.

You can decline: If you decline, you can still use the app normally; only saving achievement images to the photo library will be unavailable. You can change this permission anytime in system Settings.

2.2 Background Operation and Silent Audio

When used: During a breathing exercise, if you leave the app or lock the screen, we use silent audio so the timer can continue.

How it’s used: Only to keep the timer running in the background. No sound is recorded, and no audio data is collected or uploaded.

2.3 Live Activity and Widgets

When used: While a breathing exercise is in progress, the current phase and remaining time can be shown on the Lock Screen or Dynamic Island; the Home Screen can show Balancee-related widgets.

How it’s used: This information is displayed only on your device for your current session. It is not sent to us or any third party.

2.4 Haptic Feedback

When used: During breathing exercises, a light vibration can be triggered when switching between inhale and exhale (if your device supports it and the feature is enabled).

How it’s used: Handled locally by the system; no data is uploaded.

2.5 Preferences Stored on Your Device

What’s stored: For example, interface theme and whether haptic feedback for phases is enabled.

Where: Stored only on your device (e.g. in system-provided UserDefaults). We cannot access it.

3. Children and Scope

This app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the applicable age of consent. Because we do not collect personal data at all, there is no additional data collection directed at children.

This policy applies to the Balancee app and its built-in widgets and Live Activity. If you download or use the app through a third-party platform (e.g. the App Store), you must also comply with that platform’s policies.

4. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy when our features or legal requirements change. The effective date will be updated on this page. If a change affects how we process data you have provided, we will notify you where reasonably possible (e.g. through an in-app notice or a notice on this page). In the current version we do not collect your data, so any such change would be reflected in an updated policy text.
